I have been trying to take my kids swimming more often this summer than we ever have. I don't want them to be afraid of the water and I also want them to learn to swim. They love it. Our city has this awesome new pool, (these pictures were taken at the old pool before the new on opened), that has water slides and a lazy river. It is zero entry which is nice because the kids can play where they feel most comfortable. We have had a lot of fun there so far this summer. If any of you want to come and go swimming with us, we would love to have you.
In other news... Alan had surgery on Friday to hopefully fix his painful hip. It was a fairly minor surgery and he got to come home the same day. Everything went well and now we just have to wait until it heals so we can know if it worked. He is up and moving around with crutches, of course, and doing well. I am afraid he is going to be really bored by the end of the six weeks on crutches. Sawyer is so sad his daddy can't pick him up. He walks over to Alan and stands at his feet and reaches to him. It is sad. Sawyer sure loves his dad!

I hope things went well and that it'll be a quick recovery. Really wish we could have seen you guys while we were out there! It's fun to see you cute little ones. Take care! -Angeline
Wish we were there to go swimming, glad that you are having fun. Kami
I'm glad that Alan's surgery went well! Thanks for posting pics of your cute kids!
It sounds like you are having a summer much like ours. Swimming, swimming and more swimming. Tell Alan I feel for him. I would go nuts if I was on crutches for six weeks.
