Cuddles

I think we expect to find things like this, when we have little girls. Sadie has loved babies since she was tiny. She has always put them to sleep and wrapped them up in blankets. Now she changes their clothes and diapers as well. However, I didn't expect my son to do the same...well not exactly the same.

This morning while I was doing Sadie's hair, Sawyer was playing with his firetruck. After a few minutes he took it into his bedroom and then came out and said, "Shhh, Firetruck sleeping." Sadie then made as much noise as she could because she loves to torment Sawyer. Sawyer ran back into his room and brought the firetruck out. He wrapped it in his blankie (which he doesn't share with anyone) and gently rocked back and forth and said, "Firetruck, cuddle." After a minute or two he laid it back down. Apparently babies aren't the only things that need cuddled, firetrucks do too.

Last weekend we went to the fire engine parade when we were visiting my family. Sawyer LOVED it. He didn't care that it was raining and cold. He didn't really care that they were throwing candy. He just loved the fire trucks. He waved at all the people driving and loved every minute. Sadie loved that they were throwing candy. The firetrucks were just okay.

P.S.S. Sawyer has been staying dry all night for a few weeks now! Hooray! I was afraid it would take years to get him trained at night, but once he started waking up, he didn't stop. It is great!
