Year in pictures

We have had a wonderful year and we hope all of you have too.  We have enjoyed watching our kids grow and become more independent.  In some ways it is absolutely wonderful, in others, extremely sad.
Sawyer started Sunbeams this January.  He is holding his new scripture bag the primary gave him.  He loves Primary; he was ready to be out of nursery.  There were too many rowdy little boys in there and Sawyer really doesn't like chaos.
My brother Chancy married T'Nisha in March.  We are so happy to have T'Nisha, Preslie and Greysen in our family.  The kids have loved having cousins to play with at Grannie's and I enjoy having another 'sister' to spend time with.
In April Sawyer turned 4.  We also had to give away an adorable batch of kittens.  We were able to get rid of all four kittens and find the momma cats original owner and return her.  We now just have one cat, Callie who will not be having any more kittens.
In May, Sadie graduated from Kindergarten.  She really liked Kindergarten and has taken to school like a fish to water.  She is now in first grade.  She reads on a fourth grade reading level and is ahead in math as well.  She is anxious to go to school every day and amazes us with how well she does.
Also in May, my brother Brandon married Danielle.  We are very happy to have Danielle in our family as well.  She is yet another 'sister' for me to spend time with.
In June, both kids participated in swimming lessons.  Sawyer did soooooo much better this year than last year. He actually kind of liked it by the end.   Sadie did really well also and she can now actually swim and loves to swim.
Sadie played T-ball.  She really enjoyed it.

In July we went camping and during a rain storm, we came in to find Grampa teaching Sadie and Sawyer how to play Blackjack.  The kids were really getting into betting their matches and taking more cards.

Also in July we went to Lake Powell for a few days.   Sadie loved, loved, loved the tube.  Sawyer wouldn't get on it.  He had fun playing on the beach and riding in the boat.

In August, both kids started school, Sadie in first grade and Sawyer in preschool. Preschool has done wonders for Sawyer's fear of crowds.  I know five kids isn't much of a crowd, but just being there twice a week has helped when we go to places where there is a big crowd.  He is learning a lot and making new friends and he loves preschool. He asks every day if he has school today.

In September, Sawyer played soccer for the first time.  He wasn't very aggressive, but he had a lot of fun.

Also in September, Sadie turned 7.  I'm still not sure how she got to be seven.  It surely hasn't been 7 years since I had her has it?
In October, we attended a crazy hair Halloween party. It was a lot of fun and all of us had really crazy hair.

In November, we found the perfect Christmas tree.

In December, Sadie lost her first top tooth.

This is Sawyer's Santa Alarm.  He is hoping to catch the Jolly old Elf.  He is sooooooo excited for Christmas.  We are pretty glad that Christmas is soon because his excitement is getting unbearable.  Sawyer would like a truck with a camp trailer for Christmas and Sadie wants a Fushigi ball. (think as seen on TV).  We sure love these kids.  We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2012.
