Happy Thanksgiving a little late!

We had a great Thanksgiving with Alan's family. Here are some pictures of the kids eating their feast. Sadie loves olives and Sawyer loves to make silly faces for the camera. We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too.

On the Friday after Thanksgiving, we went on our Christmas tree hunt. We searched and searched until, as Sadie put it, we found the perfect one.

Is this one the perfect one? No, not quite, it is much too big.

We found it. This one was almost perfect. Well it looked that way in the forest at least. They never seem to be as perfect once we get them home, but this one is pretty good.

Next we decorated the tree. Sadie was a lot of help. She does a pretty good job at decorating the tree.

Sawyer tried, but only one ornament he put on the tree stayed, the rest fell on the floor. He now enjoys taking the decorations off and bringing them to me. He also LOVES to open presents. We can't put presents under the tree that would ruin a surprise if he opened them. Only ones that go to people who don't live in our house. Its okay, this way no one will be able to guess what their presents are before Christmas.

Here is our 'perfect' huge, bushy tree. I love it! It is my favorite tree of all the trees we have had since we got married. We usually have scrawny, Charlie Brown trees. This one is slightly too tall, but the bow hides it.

The weekend after Thanksgiving we went to my parent's house for a Holiday dinner. Grannie helped Sadie ride the horse...or at least sit on him. Grandpa helped Sawyer ride too, but he was done before I could take a picture.

Sawyer is my little electrician. He loves to plug-in and unplug things. I have found him multiple times hiding in my bedroom or downstairs with my electric hand mixer plugged in and turned on full blast. I have caught him trying to get the electric can opener to work. He also plays with the Christmas tree lights...plugging them in and unplugging them. My crazy boy. He is into trouble almost all the time, but as I have watched him, nine times out of ten he is just trying to help. The other times he is curious, like the plugs. He wants to know how things work. Today, he isn't much trouble, he is sick and just laying around. I hate it when my kids are sick.

Cute, cute pictures. I love that you went on a Christmas tree hunt, and you found a dang cute one! We got a tree that was way too big for our apartment, but instead of cutting the base, Don wanted to keep it big. So now it's just a big bush. And because my nephew and niece live right upstairs, it's only decorated half way, so they can't break ornaments.
